FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Who should see a chiropractor?

If you have a nervous system and a spine, you can benefit from seeing a chiropractor.  Everyone with skeletal joints may experience joint restrictions, which will impede communication between the brain and the body.  We treat patients of all ages, using techniques that are appropriate for the specific needs of each patient.

  • What is a chiropractic adjustment?

The chiropractic adjustment is the act of finding and treating a joint restriction in the spine, or the extremities.  The adjustment results in improvements in mobility, efficiency of movement and function in both the brain and nervous system. It has far-reaching impacts on all body functions.

  • What is a joint restriction?

A restricted joint does not have full range of motion.  It may, or may not, be painful to touch. Some causes are:

    Trauma, either acute or repetitive.

    Thoughts: mental & emotional stressors.

Toxins: chemicals, processed foods, toxic metal or mold exposure.

Causes include: Sedentary lifestyles, repetitive exercise, stress, exposure to strong chemical solutions or fragrances.

  • Is Chiropractic care safe?

Yes. Chiropractic is extremely safe – this is why most people seek chiropractic care; The Chiropractic Profession has been in the U.S. since 1895 and is the largest recognized ‘drug free’ group of doctors in the U.S.

  • Will my insurance cover my Chiropractic services?

Care at our clinic is covered by most major medical insurances.  Our staff will be happy to check your insurance benefits and inform you of your coverage.  We also offer a 15% discount for chiropractic care that is paid for in full at the time of service (that does not involve us billing your insurance).

  • Will insurance cover my Nutrition services?

Insurance does not cover the highly personalized in-depth nutrition programs that Dr. Agger designs for his nutrition patients.  However, some flexible spending accounts may be used to cover these expenses, depending on their scope.

  • Can chiropractors treat pregnant women?

Chiropractic is both safe and effective in supporting successful pregnancies.  We have special tables which allow a pregnant patient to lie on her stomach in the final trimesters.  We routinely see pregnant women in the clinic for regular adjustments, which ensures they have less discomfort, back ache & sciatica. Many of them experience an easier pregnancy, labor & recovery.

  • Will you work with my Primary Care Provider?
