Our ‘5 Steps to Health’

Our paradigm for getting patients well & helping them to stay well is anchored in our 5 Steps to Health clinical protocols.

Most patients comes to us with differing levels of pain and inflammation, which are either newly acquired or chronically ongoing.

For example, whiplash injuries from sports injuries or an auto accident injury, or chronic digestive problems such as gas, bloating and heartburn all have an inflammatory component and can sometimes be painful.

Our chief initial goal is always to take down the painful symptoms to make your life easier as a patient.

As your inflammation decreases, we seek to stabilize your less inflamed body through  a mixture of specific exercises, specific therapeutic modalities (Massage therapy, laser therapy, Therapeutic ultrasound), diet, specific nutritional & botanical supplementation and chiropractic care…each of them uniquely applied to each patient.

Our approach allows for collagen healing, flexible scar formation with maximal strength, and brain-body integration in correct muscular firing patterns, better nervous system co-ordination.

As the treatment plan moves through the 5 Steps to Healing, this allows endurance to be built (or re-built), in your bodies structural & functional capacity, and internally, on a cellular level as you get better.

Most patients feel better relatively quickly considering that we utilize a predominately natural medicine approach. As patients feel better, we just have to make this ‘new normal’ stick.

As we correct any underlying problem of why your body is not healing so well we will then re-integrate you back into areas of your life that were previously not working: for example, this could mean walking on trails again, lifting weights, gardening or being able to tolerate some of the foods that you previously not able to deal with, poop better or sleep better. [in many cases, ALL of the above symptoms improve!]

We are always trying to find the root cause of people's problems, especially when they are chronic in nature and have been going on for a long time.  This can apply whether somebody has recurrent back pain, chronic headaches, recurrent migraine headaches, unable to sleep or exercise properly.

Once you are ‘feeling better’ we want to support you in staying well.

This means seeing you less frequently in the clinic, but also looking at your family history, to see how we can best ‘future proof’ you based on your unique genetic challenges – whether that is arthritis, heart disease, auto-immunity, diabetes or memory loss- and we are well placed to assist in developing a ‘pro-active plan’ to reduce these potential health concerns through our robust clinical testing, awareness of current research in the health & longevity field, and our three decades of health practice and teaching experience.

We hope that you will join us in Getting Well and Staying Well!
